Borsa Istanbul achieved its all-time highest weekly closing

The BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul concluded the day at 5,626.49 points, with a 1.31% increase, achieving its all-time highest weekly closing.

The BIST 100 index increased by 72.49 points compared to the previous closing, while the total trading volume reached 89 billion Turkish liras.

While the banking index lost 0.68% in value, the holding index gained 1.28%. Among the sector indices, the communication sector saw the highest gain with 4.72%, while the banking sector experienced the highest loss.

Analysts state that next week, the focus of the markets will be on the interest rate decisions of the Federal Reserve (Fed), the European Central Bank (ECB), and the Bank of Japan (BoJ), as well as the evaluation of Turkey by the international credit rating agency Moody’s. In terms of data agenda, domestically, attention will be given to the balance of payments, unemployment rate, budget balance, housing sales, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) market participants survey, while internationally, inflation, industrial production, retail sales in the United States, inflation, industrial production in the Eurozone, inflation in Germany, and industrial production and inflation in China will be closely monitored.

From a technical perspective, analysts note that in the BIST 100 index, the resistance levels are at 5,700 and 5,850, while the support levels are at 5,500 and 5,400 points.
