Çimsa-Mersin-Fabrika

Çimsa Cement reported that the trial period of the new CAC production facility at the Mersin plant has been completed and it has been put into production at full capacity.

The following information was included in the statement made on KAP.

As stated in our Company’s material event disclosure dated 28 April 2022, the new production facility investment, which was made in addition to the existing CAC (Calcium Aluminate Cement) production capacity at Mersin plant, was commissioned after the trial production and testing processes were completed.

With the commissioning of the new CAC production facility, our Company’s CAC clinker production capacity has increased from 65 thousand tonnes to 131 thousand tonnes per annum and thus our Company has become the 3rd largest producer in the global CAC market.

The new production facility commissioned for the CAC product, which is used as the main input in the production of construction chemicals and refractories, will serve our Company’s goals of growing in export markets and expanding its value-added product range.”
