Ekvator Energy will make a 3.2 billion Turkish Lira investment in Renewable Energy Sources (RES)

Ekvator Energy Group continues its investments in domestic and renewable energy sources for electricity generation.

The group announced the establishment and operation of its 11th and 12th electricity production facilities in Gaziantep and Eskişehir, with a combined total installed capacity of 84 MW from Storage-Integrated Wind Energy Power Plants.

Alongside the investments in Storage-Integrated Wind Energy Power Plants with a capacity of 48 MW in Gaziantep and 36 MW in Eskişehir, the total installed capacity based on renewable energy sources will reach 215.92 MW. The projects, estimated at an investment amount of 3,209,036,250 TL, will employ 14 electric storage units for the Storage-Integrated Wind Energy Power Plants. The newly planned investments, with an annual production projected at 336 million kWh/year, aim to meet the annual electricity needs of approximately 75,472 households and reduce carbon emissions equivalent to the contribution of 9.6 million trees to the environment.

Hakkı Kubilay Şakar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ekvator Energy Group, expressed his thoughts regarding the new investments, stating, “We continue to grow while keeping our sensitivity to the environment and humanity at the forefront of our company’s investment activities. We aim to utilize the opportunities nature offers us with projects that will benefit our country and the world, striving to reduce carbon emissions.”
