According to the data released by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the central government budget posted a deficit of 150.7 billion TRY in January. Interest expenditures increased by 466.9 percent to 121.1 billion TRY.

According to the data released by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, in January 2024, central government budget expenditures and budget revenues were realized as 768 billion TRY and 617.2 billion TRY, respectively.

According to the data, primary budget expenditures were realized as 646.9 billion TRY and primary deficit as 29.6 billion TRY.

On the budget expenditures side, interest expenditures amounted to 121 billion 93 million TRY and non-interest expenditures to 646 billion 875 million TRY in January.

Central government budget revenues were recorded as 617 billion 249 million TRY in January.

Tax revenues were realized as 517 billion 201 million TRY while general budget non-tax revenues were realized as 88 billion 57 million TRY.
