President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Istanbul. President Erdogan and UAE President Al Nahyan examined Turkey’s first domestic and national car, TOGG.
President Erdogan welcomed Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Atatürk Airport. The welcoming ceremony was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Osman Aşkın Bak, the Presidential Communications Director, Fahrettin Altun, the Director of the National Intelligence Organization, İbrahim Kalın, and the Chief Presidential Advisor, Akif Çağatay Kılıç.

Later, President Erdogan and Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a closed-door meeting at the Atatürk Airport State Guest House.
TOGG (Turkey’s Automobile Joint Venture Group) is Turkey’s first domestic and national car project. Launched with the aim of creating its own brand in the automotive sector, the project aims to produce a modern car incorporating electric and autonomous driving technologies.
The prototype models of TOGG were introduced in Turkey in 2019. The project is supported by an initiative group led by the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. TOGG’s production facility has been built in Bursa, and plans for mass production have been made.
The goal of TOGG is to establish a domestic and innovative brand in Turkey’s automotive sector, create employment opportunities, and showcase Turkish engineering capabilities worldwide. The project aims to prioritize sustainability and technological innovation.
Key features of Turkey’s first indigenous car
The car will be offered with two different trim levels and two battery options, which will affect the price, features, and range of the vehicle.
Furthermore, TOGG’s C-segment SUV model, named T10X, offers two different range options in its rear-wheel-drive versions.
Both versions, which have a power output of 160 kW / 218 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque, can be purchased with a range of either 314 kilometers or 523 kilometers.
TOGG will introduce its first smart device, the C-SUV, emphasizing the concepts of “born electric,” “born sustainable,” “born digital,” and “born green,” under the name T10X. The letter “T” in the model name represents Turkey and TOGG, while “10” refers to the C-segment platform on which the vehicle is built, and “X” signifies the SUV body type. T10X will be available to users with two different trim levels and two battery options.
The T10X RWD (rear-wheel-drive) version, generating 160 kW / 218 horsepower power and 350 Nm of torque, will offer two different battery options with ranges of 314 kilometers and 523 kilometers. The 52.4 kWh capacity battery option of T10X provides an energy consumption value of 16.7 kWh/100 km (WLTP), while the 88.5 kWh capacity battery option has a consumption value of 16.9 kWh/100 km (WLTP).
