According to the data released by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the Turkish budget turned positive in July after a long period. According to the published data, the budget had a surplus of 48.6 billion Turkish Lira.

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance has announced the results of the central government budget balance for the month of July.

In July 2023, the central government budget had a surplus of 48 billion 574 million Turkish Lira.

For the month of July 2023, central government budget expenditures amounted to 455.8 billion TL, budget revenues were 504.4 billion TL, and the budget surplus was 48.6 billion TL.

Furthermore, non-interest budget expenditures were 418.1 billion TL, and the non-interest surplus was 86.3 billion TL.

Budget expenditures for the month of July increased by 74.7% compared to the same month of the previous year.

In a statement by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, it was stated:

“While the central government budget had a deficit of 64 billion 19 million TL in July 2022, it had a surplus of 48 billion 574 million TL in July 2023. Central government budget expenditures amounted to 455 billion 840 million TL as of July.”
