The monthly contraction series continues in the industry


The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has released industrial production statistics for September. According to the data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, industrial production decreased by 0.1% on a monthly basis in September, marking the third consecutive month of monthly contraction.

The annual growth rate in industrial production was 4%.

While manufacturing industry showed no change on a monthly basis in September, mining and quarrying grew by 1.4%, and electricity, gas, and steam decreased by 2%.

On an annual basis, manufacturing industry increased by 3.7%, mining and quarrying by 9.1%, and electricity, gas, and steam by 4.2%.

The production of durable consumer goods increased by 2.5% on a monthly basis and by 6.1% on an annual basis.
