The U.S. announced a military aid package worth 200 million dollars to Ukraine from its own inventory. The inclusion of Patriot air defense systems in the package drew attention. With this latest package, the U.S. has provided over 43 billion dollars in aid to Ukraine in the past 1.5 years.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken stated in a written announcement that the military aid to be provided to Ukraine is worth 200 million dollars.
The Department of Defense (Pentagon) also reported that the package includes a variety of assistance, including additional ammunition for Patriot air defense systems and High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), as well as mine clearing equipment, artillery and tank ammunition of various calibers and sizes, and a range of weapon munitions.
Since the beginning of the conflict in February 2022, the U.S. has provided over 43 billion dollars in military aid to Ukraine.
