The Turkish Treasury borrowed 19.8 billion Turkish Lira in the bond auction

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance borrowed 19 billion 818 million Turkish Lira in the bond auction held today.

The Ministry of Treasury and Finance conducted an auction for a 5-year (1820 days) term, fixed-coupon government bond with a semi-annual coupon payment of 8.65%.

In the auction, the simple interest rate was 18.7%, and the compound interest rate was 19.58%.

The nominal bid reached 15 billion 208.5 million Turkish Lira, but the nominal sale was 11 billion 320 million Lira, and the net sale was 10 billion 818 million Lira.

No bids were received from the public sector in the auction, but market makers submitted bids totaling 14 billion 100 million Lira, and 9 billion Lira worth of bonds were sold to them.

As a result, the Treasury borrowed a total of 19 billion 818 million Turkish Lira in this auction.
