First decline in CBRT reserves in a long time

Total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) fell for the first time after a 13-week period. Total reserves decreased from 145 billion 453 million dollars to 141 billion 60 million dollars.

According to CBRT data, total reserves fell from 145 billion 453 million dollars to 141 billion 60 million dollars. Thus, total reserves decreased by 4 billion 393 million dollars in the week ending on December 29, 2023.

In the same week, gross foreign exchange reserves decreased by 4 billion 727 million dollars from 97 billion 556 million dollars to 92 billion 829 million dollars.

Gold reserves increased from 47 billion 896 million dollars to 48 billion 231 million dollars.
