Reis Gıda fixed its prices to fight inflation

Reis Gıda decided to freeze its prices this year as part of the fight against inflation. In a statement made by the company, it was reported that the price list announced on January 20 was fixed until the end of Ramadan.

Mehmet Reis, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Reis Gıda, stated that the fight against inflation is not only the duty of governments, but is also among the responsibilities of the business world and made the following assessment:

“The blessed month of Ramadan is a period when the consumption of dry foods increases. In addition, consumer demand increases seasonally during the winter months. Reis, 43 years old, has stood by its consumers with accessible prices since the day it was founded. As is well known to the public following us, Reis pioneered the “Fixed Price Application” for the first time in Turkey in 1995, 2001 and 2008 when prices increased rapidly. With this practice, our decision to keep prices fixed for a certain period of time had a great resonance and received great support from our society. In 2022, during the process of reducing the VAT rate on basic food products from 8 percent to 1 percent, an additional support of 7 percent was provided to consumers as a result of negotiations with sales points. We will continue to increase our practices for the benefit of our society.”
