Total net profit of banks in Turkey increased by 37.6 percent yoy in November

According to the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) data, the banking sector posted a net profit of 535.5 billion TRY in the first 11 months of the year. The sector’s net profit in the same period of 2022 was 389 billion TRY.

The Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) published the “Unconsolidated Main Indicators of the Turkish Banking Sector” report for the period of November 2023.

According to the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) data, the asset size of the Turkish banking sector increased by 57.1 percent in the November 2023 period compared to the end of 2022 and reached 22 trillion 540 billion TL.

As of November, the ratio of the sector’s non-performing loans to total cash loans was 1.5 percent. This ratio was 2.16 percent in November 2022.
